The 31st Annual 10,000 Meter Sycamore Pumpkin Festival Road Race, USATF sanctioned and CARA (Chicago Area Runner's Association) Circuit Race, will be held Sunday, October 25, 2009 starting at 9:35 a.m. at the park just East of the National Guard Armory on Route 64 in Sycamore.

Register online via link above or contact the chamber at 815-895-3456 or 407 W. State Street Suite 10, Sycamore, Illinois.  Participants receive a long sleeve race shirt and refreshments following the race. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers, each of the first three finishers in thirteen age divisions, and the first Sycamore male and female finishers.

Chipped timing by River City Race Management with computerized finish results provided to all runners immediately following the race.

This is a 6.2 mile USATF certified course. The starting line is on East State Street at Kishwaukee Drive and runs west to Somonauk Street, south to Bethany Road, north on Airport Road to Sycamore Park where it ends near the west park entrance.

Race Directions:          

• Race Day Registration: 8 to 9:00 a.m. in the Sycamore Park, under large tent, just east of the Armory, 516 E. State Street (Rt. 64)
• Sycamore is Located at the intersection of Routes 23 and 64, 60 miles west of Chicago.
• Entry Fee:
  - Mail early! $24 if received before October 19, 2009,
  - Race Day $30. Make checks payable to "Pumpkin Race" and mail to: The Pumpkin Race, P.O. Box 494, Sycamore, IL 60178.
  - Online Registration $24.00 available through October 21, 2009.

Awards will be presented after the race to overall - 1st three places (male and female)*

• Age Divisions: 1st - 3rd places: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 & 80 & over.
• Chip Timed and results provided by River City Race Management.

*Overall winners do receive age group awards.

Registration/Packet Pick-up:

If you register before Oct. 19 you may pick up your runner's packet at the Chamber office, 407 W. State Street Suite 10 on October 22 or 23 from 9 a.m. to 4p.m. Race Day packet pick up at the Armory from 7am to 9 a.m. 

Volunteers:
