The Block Party

The lawn of the courthouse is filled with hundreds and hundreds of pumpkins that are carved, painted and created by area children. Food, crafts, contests, fun and more culminate in a gigantic parade through town. Last full weekend in October.

Held at the St. Mary's Memorial Hall.
Walk With Santa presented by
Discover Sycamore
December 5th
Join Santa as he makes his grand entrance in
Sycamore! Evening starts with a FREE showing
of "Rudolph" at the Sycamore Theatre at 5
p.m., sponsored by
the Sycamore Public Library. Line up for the
parade begins at the theatre at 5:30 pm. Children walk with Santa down State
Street to the Courthouse lawn at 5:45 p.m. for a spectacular tree
lighting at about 6p.m. Start the holiday season off
right in downtown Sycamore.
